Cookies have a variety of functions. Many cookies are technically essential since certain website functions would not work in the absence of the cookies (e.g. the shopping cart function or the display of videos). The purpose of other cookies may be the analysis of user patterns or the display of promotional messages.
Cookies, which are required for the performance of electronic communication transactions (required cookies) or for the provision of certain functions you want to use (functional cookies, e.g. for the shopping cart function) or those that are necessary for the optimization of the website (e.g. cookies that provide measurable insights into the web audience), shall be stored on the basis of Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR, unless a different legal basis is cited. The operator of the website has a legitimate interest in the storage of cookies to ensure the technically error free and optimized provision of the operator’s services. If your consent to the storage of the cookies has been requested, the respective cookies are stored exclusively on the basis of the consent obtained (Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. a GDPR); this consent may be revoked at any time.
You have the option to set up your browser in such a manner that you will be notified any time cookies are placed and to permit the acceptance of cookies only in specific cases. You may also exclude the acceptance of cookies in certain cases or in general or activate the delete function for the automatic eradication of cookies when the browser closes. If cookies are deactivated, the functions of this website may be limited.

In all other cases the processing is based on our legitimate interest in the effective processing of the requests addressed to us (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. f GDPR) or on your agreement (Art. 6 Para. 1 lit. a GDPR) if this has been requested.
The information you have entered into the contact form shall remain with us until you ask us to eradicate the data, revoke your consent to the archiving of data or if the purpose for which the information is being archived no longer exists (e.g. after we have concluded our response to your inquiry). This shall be without prejudice to any mandatory legal provisions – in particular retention periods.

Social media plug-ins with Shariff
As a rule, you will be able to recognize these plug-ins because of the respective social media logos that appear. To warrant the protection of data on this website, we use these plug-ins only in combination with the so-called “Shariff” solution. This application prevents the plug-ins that have been integrated into this website from transferring data to the respective provider as soon as you enter our website.
A direct connection to the provider's server shall not be established until you have activated the respective plug-in by clicking on the affiliated button (which indicates your consent). As soon as you activate the plug-in, the respective provider receives the information that you have visited this website with your IP address. If you are simultaneously logged into your respective social media account (e.g. Facebook), the respective provider will be able to allocate your visit to this website to your user account.
The activation of the plug-in constitutes a declaration of consent as defined in Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. a GDPR. You have the option to revoke this consent at any time, which shall affect all future transactions.

Google Analytics enables the website operator to analyze the behavior patterns of website visitors. 7. Plug-ins and tools
YouTube with expanded data protection integration
We use YouTube in the expanded data protection mode. According to YouTube, this mode ensures that YouTube does not store any information about visitors to this website before they watch the video. Nevertheless, this does not necessarily mean that the sharing of data with YouTube partners can be ruled out as a result of the expanded data protection mode. For instance, regardless of whether you are watching a video, YouTube will always establish a connection with the Google DoubleClick network.
As soon as you start to play a YouTube video on this website, a connection to YouTube’s servers will be established. As a result, the YouTube server will be notified, which of our pages you have visited. If you are logged into your YouTube account while you visit our site, you enable YouTube to directly allocate your browsing patterns to your personal profile. You have the option to prevent this by logging out of your YouTube account.
Furthermore, after you have started to play a video, YouTube will be able to place various cookies on your device or comparable technologies for recognition (e.g. device fingerprinting). In this way YouTube will be able to obtain information about this website’s visitors. Among other things, this information will be used to generate video statistics with the aim of improving the user friendliness of the site and to prevent attempts to commit fraud.
Under certain circumstances, additional data processing transactions may be triggered after you have started to play a YouTube video, which are beyond our control.
The use of YouTube is based on our interest in presenting our online content in an appealing manner. Pursuant to Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. f GDPR, this is a legitimate interest. If a corresponding agreement has been requested, the processing takes place exclusively on the basis of Art. 6 para. 1 lit. a GDPR; the agreement can be revoked at any time.
For more information on how YouTube handles user data, please consult the YouTube Data Privacy Policy under: https://policies.google.com/privacy?hl=en.

Job Applications
Scope and purpose of the collection of data
If your job application should result in your recruitment, the data you have submitted will be archived on the grounds of § 26 New GDPR and Art. 6 Sect. 1 lit. b GDPR for the purpose of implementing the employment relationship in our data processing system.
Data Archiving Period
Longer storage may also take place if you have given your agreement (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR) or if statutory data retention requirements preclude the deletion.
Data processing as part of our whistleblower system
The processing of personal data within the framework of the whistleblower system is based on our legitimate interest (Article 6 Paragraph 1 lit.f GDPR) in the detection and prevention of regulation breaches and criminal offenses, in connection with the provisions of Directive (EU) 2019/1937 on the protection of persons who report breaches of Union law. If a notification received relates to a (presumed) criminal offense committed by an employee in the employment relationship, the processing also includes Section 26 (1) BDSG as the legal basis.
Whistleblowers have the possibility to submit reports anonymously. If you submit the report stating your identity, by doing this you are giving your consent (Article 6 (1) (a) GDPR) to the processing of your identification data by our compliance team. The compliance team will treat information about your identity confidentially and will not share it with people or departments who are not entrusted with processing your request and the associated measures without your consent. Any legal obligations to disclose identity are excluded from this. You can revoke your consent at any time with future effect.
The whistleblower system is used on a voluntary basis. If you submit a report, we collect your name (if you disclose your identity), your contact details (if you provide them), the fact and time of the report (to calculate the deadlines), and information on whether you are an employee of the company (only if you disclose your identity) as well as the content of the report and any names and other personal data of named persons disclosed therein.
All data in the whistleblower system are protected by technical and organizational measures. They are fully accessible only to members of the compliance team. In order to check the report and process measures, data is only passed on to the persons involved to the extent necessary. This also applies to disclosure to third parties, such as the police, public prosecutor, supervisory authorities, etc.
If data is required to be passed on to locations in third countries where there is no adequate level of data protection, we ensure that the legally defined requirements for data transfer (e.g. use of the EU standard contractual clauses, Binding Corporate Rules (BCR)) are met before it is passed on.
If you knowingly provide false information or attempt to discredit a person, your person may be disclosed within the legal framework and the confidentiality of the information cannot be guaranteed.
Personal data will be kept for as long as the clarification and final assessment of the information requires, there is a legitimate legitimate interest of the company or further retention is required due to statutory retention periods. Afterwards, this data is deleted in accordance with the legal requirements in accordance with data protection regulations or physical documents (e.g. paper documents) are destroyed. The duration of the storage depends in particular on the severity of the suspicion and the nature of the reported possible breach of duty.

11.Our social media appearances
Data processing through social networks
Social networks such as Facebook, Google+ etc. can generally analyze your user behavior comprehensively if you visit their website or a website with integrated social media content (e.g. like buttons or banner ads). When you visit our social media pages, numerous data protection-relevant processing operations are triggered. In detail:
If you are logged in to your social media account and visit our social media page, the operator of the social media portal can assign this visit to your user account. Under certain circumstances, your personal data may also be recorded if you are not logged in or do not have an account with the respective social media portal. In this case, this data is collected, for example, via cookies stored on your device or by recording your IP address.
Using the data collected in this way, the operators of the social media portals can create user profiles in which their preferences and interests are stored. This way you can see interest-based advertising inside and outside of your social media presence. If you have an account with the social network, interest-based advertising can be displayed on any device you are logged in to or have logged in to.
Please also note that we cannot retrace all processing operations on the social media portals. Depending on the provider, additional processing operations may therefore be carried out by the operators of the social media portals. Details can be found in the terms of use and privacy policy of the respective social media portals.
Legal basis
Responsibility and assertion of rights
Please note that despite the shared responsibility with the social media portal operators, we do not have full influence on the data processing operations of the social media portals. Our options are determined by the company policy of the respective provider.
Storage time
We have no control over the storage duration of your data that are stored by the social network operators for their own purposes. For details, please contact the social network operators directly (e.g. in their privacy policy, see below).
Individual social networks
We have signed an agreement with Facebook on shared responsibility for the processing of data (Controller Addendum). This agreement determines which data processing operations we or Facebook are responsible for when you visit our Facebook Fanpage. This agreement can be viewed at the following link: https://www.facebook.com/legal/terms/page_controller_addendum.
You can customize your advertising settings independently in your user account. Click on the following link and log in: https://www.facebook.com/settings?tab=ads.
